Flashback

There is a song for every moment in anybody’s life, and the most evocative song for me is Pray to the Lord by Lil Wayne. It sums up my life in a three-minute rap about the Lord and how he sees religion. It takes me back to when I had mono my junior year and was constantly feeling sick and tired. I listened to this song and it reminds me how I just gave it to God and let what happens happen. I recollect listening to it with my friends when we were driving to the beach because I was in dire need of a tan after being cooped up for six months and having to quit playing basketball, and still without listening to what others had to say and just believed it happened for a reason.
