I belong to an elite community, the basketball players. My community is made of rough, tough, strong, tall, and superior athletic individuals bent on dominating the basketball court and giving fans and audiences a show like none before. My community is very large, spread throughout the entire world in different leagues, as well individuals just playing to have fun. Although baseball, football, and soccer are the most widely viewed sports in the world, basketball is one of the toughest and most athletic games played. I play the role of an average player who loves to score. In high school I was often the leading scorer in games, amounting a spectacular game of 42 points in front of several scouts my freshman year. I am also a spokesman for my community. I praise the games viewed on T.V., and force others to watch until they are ultimately hooked. Basketball is a sport of finesse and raw strength merged perfectly into an individual giving them the ability to run jump and hang in the air far longer than normal people. Five players play at one time on both teams amounting to a total of tens players on the court at all times. In these ten players are point guards, shooting guards, small and power forwards and of course the center. The game is played on a court with two identical baskets 94 feet apart, with 50 feet width wise to move about. The rim of the baskets measure 18 inches round shaped and the sphere shaped basketball measures nine inches, making it capable of going into the hoop when a shot is attempted. The players tend to be rough around the edges, mean, easily agitated and foul mouthed. This makes the games more interesting to watch and play. Two players going head to head talking trash to one another until the very last minute when one is named winner and the other sent home distraught.
