interview results

After concluding my interview and looking over the results of the interview i was not very surprised at all with the content i had received. I kind of got the answers i was looking for and the answers i expected to receive. I did this paper on the stereotypes of lower class southern white men knowing that most of them are fabricated and that in real life only a small minority of lower class southern white men actually fall into the stereotypes that have become so prevalent in Hollywood film. This interview to me was more about validating that claim so my paper would have more weight to it where as if I were just to say those things without backing up my claims then my paper itself would not carry much weight. So the person I interviewed turned out to be very helpful because he gave me the answers I was expecting. If he had given me answers that didn’t match with what I was saying then it would have been a big waste of time and I probably would have had to go back and restructure my entire paper. The best stuff he gave me was the first hand experience he had of growing up as a lower class southern men and then becoming successful.
