more than just paper
As much as it pains to admit it, I have to say that..I am not very computer literate. I try to stay up with the times, but some of it is just too advance for me. I think it is important for the english classes here at FSU and other universities to incorporate some different forms of literacy, like computer literacy. Honestly without the classes we took up to this point in our lives, how would we have learned about reading and about writing. The classes we take shape the knowledge we have, without them we wouldnt know half the things we do. I know that if i had not been forced to read Macbeth in my senior year english class then i never would have read it and therefore never would have been exposed to that style of writing anf language. The same is true for computers and technology. Without a class and a teacher to teach me I would never be able to keep up with technology. Technology will continue to change and upgrade and the jobs we are trying to get are going to require that we know how to use that technology. We need to be taught how to use it so we can get the jobs.

In my blog I also wrote about how it is important to be computer literate these days. I definitely agree with you that English classes should incorporate some sort of computer activities that would be able to help students become more literate on them. I also wrote about how the classes that we have taken up to this point shape what we have learned so far in school. I don’t know how many people out there would admit it, but I do not think that many of us are completely literate with all of the technology out there. I consider myself to be somewhat good with computers, but there is so much that I don’t know.
